LightningEdge® Service Delivery Switch Family

Configuration Flexibility

Service Delivery Switches from World Wide Packets support a full range of physical configuration options enabling these switches to be positioned in either CPE access or concentration/distribution configurations. Every Service Delivery Switch switch comes standard with multiple 1 Gbps SFP optical ports. SFPs (Small Form-Factor Pluggable) deliver the advantages of ease-of-use, interoperability, and flexibility of connecting devices up to 100 Km over single mode fiber. Also, SFPs reduce entry-level switch costs by enabling the subscriber to decide how many and what type of optical transceivers are required for the network.

Service Delivery Switches from World Wide Packets also support a wide variety of Fast Ethernet interfaces, including 100 Mbps SFP optical ports (LE-310), 10/100 Mbps copper ports (LE-310, LE-311 and LE-311v) and “triple speed” 10/100/1000 Mbps copper ports (LE-310).

In addition, Service Delivery Switches support very flexible power configurations. The LE-310 is preconfigured with AC power. The LE-311 and LE-311v both support AC or DC power and are designed with pluggable redundant power supply slots for increased reliability and availability.
