World Wide Packets implementation supports highly flexible VLAN mapping which allows carriers to deploy customizable services with required service treatments at different levels. World Wide Packets implementation provides the following benefits to carriers:

  • Higher Scalability by allowing overlapping VLAN-ids. World Wide Packets allows carriers to scale beyond 4096 VLAN(s).
  • With flexible priority marking, carriers can offer customer, service and network level priority treatment.
  • Supports flexible Tag manipulation which includes Untagged, Single and Double tagged combinations, natively or tunneled.
  • Low or zero touch provisioning by using pre-provisioned VLAN(s) and QinQ attachments.
