World Wide Packets Receives Level 3 Compliance from NEBS Program

LightningEdge® Complies with Network Equipment Building Systems Program Requirements

Spokane Valley, WA – August 15, 2007 – World Wide Packets, a leading provider of Carrier Ethernet solutions, announced todaythat members of its LightningEdge Carrier Ethernet product family have received official compliance from Underwriters Laboratory through its Network Equipment Building System (NEBS) Test Program. This compliance marks another significant third party validation for World Wide Packets, following the recent certification for compliance with MEF 14 guidelines as tested by the Iometrix Lab in June.

The NEBS Test Program is a value added service provided to manufacturers of telecommunications equipment. It is designed to provide independent third party validation of a vendor’s telecommunication products and formally document that it has been tested and meets the requirements of NEBS Level 3, Telcordia Technologies. Specifically, the documents used for testing are the GR-63-CORE, which tests for physical protection and the GR-1089-CORE which tests for electromagnetic compatibility and electrical safety.

"The NEBS compliance marks another major milestone for World Wide Packets and LightningEdge. The company continues to meet industry standards, delivering customers well supported, highly functional Carrier Ethernet solutions," said Dave Curry, CEO of World Wide Packets.  “We are excited to be included in this testing process and look forward to continued validation of this nature for members of the LightningEdge family.”
