World Wide Packets Achieves Metro Ethernet Forum 14 Certification
Quality of Service Certification Further Validates World Wide Packets' True Carrier Ethernet Strategy
Spokane Valley, WA – June 20, 2006 – World Wide Packets, a provider of Carrier Ethernet solutions, today announced that its LightingEdge® products has received certification from the Iometrix test laboratory under the terms established by the Metro Ethernet Forum (MEF) for its MEF 14. The MEF 14 certification focuses on Carrier Ethernet traffic management capabilities, specifically, service performance and bandwidth profile rate enforcement.
Multiple products within the World Wide Packets' LightningEdge family received MEF 14 certification for compliance with all three services defined by the Metro Ethernet Forum, including Ethernet Private Line (EPL), Ethernet Virtual Private Line (EVPL) and Ethernet LAN (ELAN). Specifically, the following LightningEdge products received certification: LE-135, LE-307, LE -310, LE-311, LE-311v, LE-327, LE-407 and LE-427. LightningEdge was tested by Iometrix test laboratory and has been certified to comply with the requirements established in the MEF 14 Abstract Test Suite for Traffic Management Phase 1.
