Industry Pro Barry Kantner Joins World Wide Packets as Vice President of Marketing
Spokane, WA - April 29, 2002 - David Curry, President and COO of World Wide Packets, today announced that Barry Kantner has joined the Senior Management team as Vice President of Marketing. Kantner brings to World Wide Packets more than twenty years of experience in all aspects of telecommunications marketing, including strategic planning, business development, product planning and management, engineering, sales and customer support and services. He has participated as a senior executive at several telecommunications companies, including ADC Telecommunications, Digital Equipment Corporation, and as V. P. of Marketing at Carrier Access, where he leveraged the company's strong CLEC market position into ILEC, ISP, ASP, cable television, utilities, enterprise, government and international opportunities. Most recently, he was V. P. of Marketing at Redwave Networks.
"Market activity of the past year has validated our view that solutions enabling service delivery over Ethernet are assuming a much higher profile in carrier class deployments for both business and residential applications," Curry said. "Barry's experience and strengths will accelerate our progress. His broad range of experience positioning solutions within multiple markets, including service provider customers, is particularly relevant to our focus."
As V.P. of Marketing, Kantner assumes responsibility for Product Management, Marketing Management and Marketing Communications.
